Shipping Method Management

Edited

Delivery promise predictions are made against the shipping method options shown to the customer at checkout.

Every shipping method that has been attached to a Shopify order will be available for configuration.

Configuring a Rate

A rate is only eligible to be shown at checkout once it's configured. To be configured, there must be a default transit time, which is used when there is not enough historical data to power the automatic prediction method.

To hide predictions for a specific shipping method, uncheck the "Rate enabled" checkbox.

Automatic Prediction Mode

Automatic prediction mode uses historical transit and fulfillment data from your shop to make predictions, and is currently only available in the U.S.

Transit

There must be 10 shipments using the corresponding shipping method to the in the last 60 days for Delivery Promise to use an automatic prediction, if there is not enough data, the prediction will use the default transit time.

Fulfillment

The Delivery Promise algorithm uses historical data based on the day of week the order is placed to make a prediction on how much fulfillment time should be included in the prediction.

Manual Prediction Mode

For shipping methods where more control is necessary, manual predictions will reflect the exact number of days configured here. Different predictions can be used for different regions by setting overrides.
