Setting Up Hosted Tracking Pages

Edited

Hosted Tracking Pages give you a branded tracking page without requiring a Shopify theme or a custom frontend build.

They are a good fit when you want Loop to host the tracking page for you. Your customers get a simple, branded place to check shipment status, and your team can configure the page from the Loop dashboard.

Hosted Tracking Pages are one of the tracking page setup options in Loop. If you are still deciding which option to use, start with Intro to Tracking Pages. If you want the tracking page to live inside a Shopify theme, see Setup Guide: Shopify Native Tracking Page.

What Customers Can Look Up

Customers can use a Hosted Tracking Page in two ways:

  • Enter a tracking number.

  • Enter an order number with the email address associated with the order.

When a customer opens a direct tracking link from an email or SMS, the page can load the relevant tracking information automatically if the link includes the right order or tracking details.

Step 1: Confirm Your Hosted Subdomain

In Loop, go to Hosted Tracking Page.

Choose the subdomain where your tracking page will be available. For example, your page may use a URL like:

your-brand.trackbyloop.com

After you confirm a subdomain, it becomes active and cannot be changed from this screen. Choose a subdomain that is recognizable to customers and matches your brand.

Step 2: Configure Page Settings

Next, configure the required page settings:

  • Support Email: the email address shown to customers on the tracking page.

  • Storefront URL: the destination customers visit when they click your logo.

  • Google Analytics ID: optional GA4 measurement ID for page analytics.

The storefront URL should be the main website you want customers to return to after checking their shipment status.

Step 3: Customize The Design

Use Customize Tracking Page to open the visual editor.

From the editor, you can customize:

  • Logo

  • Primary color

  • Background color

  • Marketing image

  • Marketing button text

  • Marketing destination URL

When your changes are ready, publish them from the editor.

Step 4: Link Customers To The Page

After your Hosted Tracking Page is configured, update your customer notifications so they send shoppers to the hosted page.

Use the hosted tracking page URL with one of these lookup formats:

/track?trackingCode=TRACKING_NUMBER

or:

/track?orderNumber=ORDER_NUMBER&email=CUSTOMER_EMAIL

Use tracking-number links when your message is tied to a specific shipment. Use order-number and email links when the message is tied to the full order.
