Overview

Onboarding to Wonderment with Wonderment-driven Klaviyo flows consists of Loop creating a first versions of

Getting started

These steps will provide the access needed to complete the work on your Wonderment implementation. Our work can begin only once these steps are completed.

Approve Shopify collaborator access

Loop will submit a Shopify collaborator access request in order to build out a first version your tracking page. If your store is protected with a collaborator request code, please provide that code to your onboarding specialist (instructions here).

Note: This Collaborator request will come from payables@loopreturns.com and will be sent to the Store Owner via email. The request can also be approved directly in Shopify by navigating to Settings > Users & Permissions.

Grant Klaviyo access

In order to create the Wonderment-driven Klaviyo email flows, access to your Klaviyo account is needed. Add support@loopreturns.com and your Onboarding Specialist's email address to your Klaviyo account as a Manager role. This access can be revoked once the emails have been completed.

Connect Wonderment to Klaviyo

Log into Wonderment (here), go to the integrations page, and click “connect” next to the Klaviyo integration to complete the integration. Click the account you wish to connect your Wonderment account to and then click “allow”.

Loop-created deliverables

The Loop team will create a tracking page and Wonderment-driven email flows in Klaviyo. Both of these deliverables will be first versions and your team will be responsible for any needed creative edits.

Tracking page

Our team will create a first version of your tracking page using a Wonderment tracking block and repurposed elements of your brand from elsewhere on your site.

Wonderment Klaviyo Flows

Loop will create the following Wonderment-driven flows in Klaviyo:

  • 01 | Wonderment | Shipping | Shipment Created

  • 02 | Wonderment | Shipping | Carrier Picked Up

  • 03 | Wonderment | Shipping | Out for Delivery

  • 04 | Wonderment | Shipping | Delivered

  • 05 | Wonderment | Shipping | Stalled Shipment

  • 06 | Wonderment | Shipping | Attempted Delivery

  • 07 | Wonderment | Shipping | Returned to Sender

These emails will be triggered by carrier events that are passed to Wonderment via tracking updates.

Deliverables completed

Once the first version of the tracking page and the Wonderment-driven email flows have been completed by Loop, they'll be sent to you by your Onboarding Specialist.

These deliverables will be first

Launching Wonderment

The Wonderment tracking page will be live from the time is created, so the only step to launch it is to add the tracking page URL to your shop, most commonly in the footer. However, our metrics indicate that over 90% of tracking page visits will originate via personalized links in the emails.

Launching Klaviyo

Launching the Wonderment-driven Klaviyo emails will vary depending on which Shopify plan your shop is on.

Launching Klaviyo for Shopify Plus

  1. In Klaviyo make any needed creative edits to the emails.

  2. Once the emails are done you'll need to request transactional status for them to ensure better deliverability (instructions here).

  3. Once they've been approved as transactional, you can set flows 5, 6 and 7 live, since they have no equivalents in Shopify (step 1 here).

  4. You can then flows 3 & 4 live by first disabling those equivalent emails in Shopify and then quickly turning on the ones in Klaviyo (step 2 here)

  5. Request (via chat or support email) that Shopify turn of the Shipment Confirmation email

Launching Klaviyo for Shopify Basic, Grow, and Advanced plans

  1. In Klaviyo make any needed creative edits to the emails.

  2. Once the emails are done you'll need to request transactional status for them to ensure better deliverability (instructions here).

  3. Once they've been approved as transactional, you can set flows  5, 6 and 7 live, as they have no equivalents in Shopify (step 1 here).

  4. You can then flows 3 & 4 live by first disabling those equivalent emails in Shopify and then quickly turning on the ones in Klaviyo (step 2 here)

  5. Since you are not on Shopify Plus plan, Shopify doesn't allow the shipping confirmation emails to be turned off. Instead, you will need to make edits to the Shopify shipping confirmation emails. I have attached a document that is the exact code that you need. You can follow the video in this help center article to show you exactly how to make the changes.

If your plan includes Delivery Promise follow the instructions for your Shopify plan to complete setup.

    1. Checkout

    2. PDPs

  3. Update copy/styling for Checkout ETAs and Product Detail pages

Shopify Basic, Advanced, and Grow merchants

  2. Install on PDPs

  3. Update copy/styling for Product Detail pages

Post–launch

There should be no impact on your Wonderment tracking page, as long as the changes are either made to the theme that it is connected to or if that theme is cloned. However, if you create or import a new theme, you may have to re-connect the tracking page to the new theme.

Updating your current theme

  1. In Shopify, go to Online Store → Themes.

  2. If you see an update available, click Add to theme library (this creates the updated copy of your theme).

  3. Open the updated theme in the theme editor and confirm your tracking page still includes Wonderment:

    • Go to the tracking page template ( Pages → Tracking).

    • Make sure the Wonderment tracking app block is still on the page.

  4. Preview the updated theme and test:

    • Load your tracking page and confirm you can search an order and see tracking details.

  5. When everything looks good, publish the updated theme.

Switching to a new theme

When you switch themes, Shopify treats the new theme as a separate theme, so Wonderment needs to be present on the theme you publish.

  1. Install / add the new theme to your Shopify theme library.

  2. Open the new theme in the theme editor.

  3. Go to your tracking page template (often Pages → Tracking).

  4. Add the Wonderment tracking app block to the tracking page in the new theme.

    • If you cloned a theme that never had Wonderment set up, you will need to add the block again.[1]

  5. Preview and test before publishing:

    • Confirm the tracking page loads.

    • Confirm order search and tracking display work as expected.

  6. Publish the new theme only after you have confirmed the Wonderment block is present and working.
